Seek Yourself In Everything That Makes You Happy
When you are lost, when you feel that something is missing and you don’t know what, when what normally made you happy no longer makes you or you lack that vital energy, stop and look within yourself. The best version of yourself is the one that makes you smile every day in the morning without missing out on the pleasure of enjoying yourself.
Your body and your mind are speaking to you, they are asking you to stop and search within yourself. Listen well and ask yourself what do I want? Sometimes we go with the automatic on and we do not have time during the day to stop and become aware of what is happening to us, how we are feeling or if we really are where we want to be.
Obligations are in our daily chores, but… do we really take time for ourselves and for what makes us happy? We have to find ourselves in what makes us smile and motivates us to continue enjoying the opportunities that we generate with our actions.
It is the small details that reconcile us with life. They do it through a hot shower, fresh coffee, music when you walk, beers after work, watching a good movie or reading a good book ending. It is about telling a joke, kissing and being kissed, making people laugh …
If we can become aware of this, we will be able to stop and find ourselves. Remove the automatic that takes us from one place to another, from the “I have to” or “I must of” and put the “enjoyment” mode. Even if it is doing the same.
Look for exceptions, break your rules
Sometimes we live conditioned by rules (too strict, too rigorous) that we impose ourselves; rules that make us drag a load that prevents us from taking off and flying. If I carry a backpack that weighs me, it will be very difficult for me to feel light, it will be more difficult for me to move calmly and freely, it will be easier for me to fall into the temptation of taking shortcuts that do not suit me.
By looking for exceptions I mean that we have schedules and obligations that we cannot avoid, but from time to time it would be good to look for a while to do nothing, to leave a small obligation and take a break or to let yourself flow. Get your strength, breathe and come back with a big smile.
The rules and own norms are also to be broken, and above all to adjust them to me. I make my plans, but with enough flexibility to be able to adapt them to the unforeseen and from time to time to a whim or desire. To feel full and happy, to be myself. I don’t want to get into a mold, I want to make and design my own.
If something binds me, if it prevents me from being me, if it does not let me enjoy, a change must be made. Maybe we cannot modify the outside, then it will be up to me to modify my vision of it. Find an adjustment that allows me to release and have a more positive vision.
See challenges and opportunities
A new job, traveling to an unknown city, meeting people from another culture, visiting new places, signing up for new activities, can be some of the things that make us jump into the void, but also get to know another part of ourselves and enjoy .
The dangers of entering an unknown world can make us feel defenseless and that is why many times we do not dare to launch ourselves. Perhaps the path that we most need to take is the one that is closed by fear. Behind our fears are great treasures.
How would you act or what decision would you make if you weren’t afraid? It can be a good question to start opening new doors. If we search within ourselves we can find the necessary tools, perhaps that area that is not yet explored can give us much more than we think and make us happier.
Seeing challenges and opportunities, challenges and occasions where others only see traps and adversities is a merit that can be worked on and above all, it can be enjoyed. Happiness is in the little things from day to day. Making ourselves aware of them in order to enjoy them is everyone’s job. Sometimes we just need to stop and realize everything wonderful around us.
